It wouldn't do to let an OS X update go by without the traditional "Hmm, seems faster". But it does actually seem faster.

Another thought though: have a look through the complete list of changes. Notice something? Yes, that ultra powerful, much-hyped graphics acceleration technology Quartz 2D Extreme is now switched off because it kept crashing Macs.

Bit rubbish that, isn't it? Next up, Microsoft announces that it's pulling WinFS from Windows Vista because "it just doesn't work"…
