There are a few technical problems involved in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. One of these is payments. If the company is charging for use of a wireless point, it needs to find a way of overcoming wireless's ability to pass through walls to a neighbouring access point.
All of this suggests that, for the pervasive Internet to become pervasive, suppliers must find a way for users to truly benefit. Plus ça change...
