iPod Quickstart guide

In a hurry but want to get the most from your iPod and iTunes as soon as possible? Then read on…

Congratulations! You’ve made the leap. You’ve joined the iPod generation. Well done on your good taste!

Now what?

If you’ve never owned an iPod before, it can be a bit daunting not knowing how everything’s going to work. How do you get music onto it? How do you play the music once you’ve it’s on the iPod? What else can it do?

So relax, sit back and start reading. Over the next six pages, we’re going to walk you through some of the basics of iPod use, starting with what to do when you first get it, then moving on to getting music onto your computer and onto your iPod, before rounding it all off with some of the other things you can do, such as play videos and games, or show off your photo albums.

Incidentally, although we don’t cover it in detail because it’s just form filling, don’t forget to register your iPod during the installation process. Not only will it ensure that if the worst happens and something goes wrong, you’ll be able to get the iPod fixed under warranty, it’ll also help you set up one of those very useful Apple IDs if you don’t already have one – you’ll need it for buying music and more from the iTunes store. Good luck and enjoy!
